Terms of Service
Effective September 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of InboxDoctor at inboxdoctor.io, including free scans, paid reports and subscriptions. Please read them before you buy.
1.Who you are contracting with
InboxDoctor (inboxdoctor.io) is the seller ("we", "us"). When you use the service or buy a plan, you are entering into an agreement with InboxDoctor. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@inboxdoctor.io.
2.Acceptance
By accessing the site, running a scan or purchasing anything from us, you agree to these terms. If you are using InboxDoctor on behalf of a company or client, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3.What the service does
InboxDoctor reads publicly available DNS records for a domain you submit — MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, MTA-STS and DNSSEC — checks public blocklists, and returns a score with plain-English guidance on what to change. Paid plans add saved domains, monitoring, re-checks and branded reports.
We do not send mail to the domains you scan, we do not read your mailbox, and no account is required for a basic scan.
4.Scores and guidance are not guarantees
A score is a diagnostic signal, not a promise of inbox placement. Deliverability also depends on sending reputation, recipient engagement, list quality and message content, none of which a DNS audit can observe.
Written diagnoses and record suggestions, including those generated with AI assistance, may be incomplete or wrong for your specific setup. Review any suggested record with your mail provider before publishing it. DNS changes can interrupt mail flow, and you are responsible for changes you make to your own DNS.
5.Only scan domains you are entitled to audit
Scanning reads public data, but you must still use the service responsibly. You agree to scan only domains you own, operate, or have been engaged to assess, and to honour any request from a domain owner to stop.
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully, or to facilitate spam, phishing or fraud;
- present our output as an official assessment from a domain owner, mailbox provider or blocklist operator;
- automate, scrape, resell or bulk-query the service outside the limits of your plan, or attempt to circumvent rate limits;
- probe, interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure, or upload malware.
6.Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
7.Licence and intellectual property
We retain all rights in the service, including the software, scanning logic, report formats, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and the reports it produces for your own business or your clients, within the plan you have selected. You may not reverse engineer the service, resell access to it, or remove attribution from a report except where white-label branding is included in your plan.
8.Payments, subscriptions and tax
Paid plans are billed in advance on the interval you choose. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
Billing, currency, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our payment provider under the Paddle Buyer Terms. Our own refund commitment is set out in the Refund Policy.
9.Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
10.Availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scans depend on third-party DNS resolvers and blocklist operators that can be slow, rate-limited or temporarily unavailable, and we may change, suspend or retire features over time.
11.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated abuse of the scanner. You may stop using the service at any time and cancel from your account page. On termination, your saved domains and reports may be deleted after a reasonable export window.
12.Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost mail or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not permit exclusion.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service, from domains you scanned without authority, or from your breach of these terms.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
